Capital Heath's new MAHI institute to use ConnexAll® Integration
It is our pleasure to announce that ConnexAll has been successful with the proposal for Capital Health’s new MAHI (Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute). Also to be included, in Phase 2 of the project, will be the Robbin’s Pavilion at the Royal Alexander Hospital.
The Integrated Communication Technology (ITC) system includes ConnexALL Nurse Call Integration Software, Virtual Call Points, Responder IV Nurse Call enhanced with Responder NET, Responder MAP, EPS, Factory Technical Training, Wireless Telephone Integration, and corridor displays. In addition, Telus, our Prime partner, will be supplying IP wireless phones and Access Points.
Capital Health serves over 1 million residents in Edmonton and area for a full continuum of care. In addition Capital Health is the primary referral centre for a population of approximately 1.6 million, and the referral centre for Alberta, and in some cases Western Canada and the Northwest Territories, for high technology services such as organ transplants.
The ITC system will consist of Nurse Call integrated with the latest technologies to allow staff to staff communication, staff to patient communication and future patient and asset tracking capabilities. The first phase of this project, and the immediate need, will implement the ICT System at the MAHI. The second phase of this project will implement a similar solution at the Royal Alexander Hospital (RAH) in the Robbin’s Pavilion in 2007.
Similar solutions will be expanded and integrated into existing Capital Health facilities including the UAH and RAH sites, as well as implemented at other new facilities being constructed in the Capital Health region. Capital Health plans on purchasing Nurse Call, Staff to Staff Communication and Wireless Infrastructure equipment over the next 3 years under this agreement. The goal of Capital Health is to acquire an integrated solution at new facilities and to build synergies through facilities designed with common communication systems. Capital Health and the MAHI project need to be a state of the art facility demonstrating leadership in technology.
We looks forward, with great anticipation, to working with all of its partners and suppliers in providing leading edge technology to the Capital Health Region.
